Life can be tough.   Life can be boring.   Life can be a lot of work.   But when you are connected with your friends and have a place where you know you can be yourself and have fun all at the same time you know you have found the sweet spot.   If you are looking for a fresh place to belong, that place where you know you are always welcome, then, the Student Ministries at the Olympia-Lacey Church of God is just for you.   Check us out and see if you might find what you are looking for right here!   We are located on the corner of Lacey Blvd. and Ruddell Road in Lacey, WA.   All year we have many things happening.   Check out our weekly schedule and yearly calendar to see where you want to get involved!

Big House- Imagine a night in the middle of the week just for you!   A night to get out of the house, away from your studies,   a night to be with your friends to hang out, shoot pool, play ping pong or foosball.   Then imagine a night when you can do all this and talk about the real issues you are wrestling with.   Issues like; What is life all about?   Why am I here?   What am I going to do with my life?   Why do bad things happen?   Can the problems I face in my life be solved?  

You don't have to imagine!   You can have all this every Wednesday Night from 7:00-8:30pm at the Big House.   All Students in Jr. High and High School are invited to hang out with us in the Student Center at the Olympia-Lacey Church of God.  

Area 252 - Sunday Mornings are for waking up, grabbing a donut and meeting your friends at the Olympia-Lacey Church of God Student Center.   Area 252 is just the place to stretch your brain.   If you want easier answers don't come here!

Looking to go deep?   Looking for the answers to the really tough questions in your life.   Do you want more than the easy Sunday School answers.   Are you ready?   If you are and you want to know more about your Christian Faith or if you are looking for a safe place to ask the questions you have been dying to understand then Area 252 is for you!   Each Sunday morning at 9:45 students just like you gather to learn and understand the deeper spiritual truths of the Christian Faith.

Monthly Activities

Each month our group goes and experiences something new, fun and out of the ordinary.   The one thing you won't be able to say is that there isn't anything to do!   Go tubbing, play flag football, feed the homeless, take a shopping trip to Seattle or Portland, watch movies on a big screen, go for a hike and swim in sub-alpine lakes.   Our hope is that through our monthly activities you get to know other students better and maybe see God in our everyday lives.

International Youth Convention  

This is a once in a life time opportunity which you just might be lucky enough to go more than once.   Held every two years at rotating locations across the nation, IYC is a time to get away and experience real life change.   At each IYC students and leaders have the opportunity to listen to the best national speakers, be led by the best worship artists and entertained by the most popular Contemporary Christian recording artists.   All this and you get to see the coolest parts of the host cities.

Insomnia-chronic inability to sleep: sleeplessness

Twelve wild and packed hours of pure fun and excitement!   Don't even think about coming and trying to get any sleep!   You can sleep when your dead! (Or when the night is over)   You will start and finish at the Olympia-Lacey Church of God, but the time in between is new and fresh each year.   You won't know what is happening until you experience it! It could be anything from rock-climbing, to swimming!   Going to a concert or racing other teams in a scavenger hunt!   The only thing guaranteed is that you will have a great time!

30 Hr Famine

Have you ever been hungry?   No, not like when you didn't have the time to eat breakfast before school because you got up late, but really hungry.   Millions of people across the world go hungry on a daily basis and tens of thousands die each year from starvation.   Ever wondered what you could do about it?   Here is your chance...Join us and experience 30 hours in the shoes of those who are the least fortune, those who don't know when their next meal is coming.   All the while, you are raising money to help feed those who really need it!
